Better Than Real Because It's Not.

Saturday August 26th 2006, 12:09 pm

Right now, this somehow appropriately (if cryptically) sums up my absence.

Billy leads a hard life

And for the many who’ve asked, Billy has successfully made the transition to Brooklyn, even though we’ve never found a quite suitable frisbee place.

I was walking back from the grocery store this morning around 7am, when in passing a two family driveway, this caught my eye…

 red and blue.

Red & Blue.

 new york post.

The NY Post, owned by Fox controlling
interest Rupert Murdoch.

 new york times.

The New York Times, owned
by the Sulzberger family.

A coincidence? Perhaps. But just in case you’re in New York and confused about which paper is conservative and which is liberal, they’ve color-coded it for you now.

 the train.

Back here. Again. The train to Manhattan

 fulton st. station

Then a subway to Fulton St..

 elevator gate.

Take the elevator to the 4th floor.

 watches and magic go together.

A street magician. They tell me he’s very good.

we've got buyers and sellers here.

He’s not just doing this for fun.

help... i'm trapped in an endless loop!

Back down the elevator.

 deja vu all over again.

And back down in the Fulton St. station.

 closing for maintenance.

The lilies are going into hiding.

i should have photographed these sooner.

The rose is past its prime.

the first of the purple flowering.

And this thing is starting to bloom.

Tonight I needed to check up on a friend. As it turned out, it was for nothing.

 the moon.

They say this makes people do crazy things.

 better moon shot.

I’m finally starting to learn how to use this camera.

 oh, really?

Unfortunately, it wasn’t me.

 nerd crossing.

The international symbol for library?

 is it true?

Sometimes life would seem easier if there were only one way to go.

 an understatement.

I certainly do have a lot of “road work” ahead today.

 ha.

Has whatah been in Port Jeff?

 moon, cloud.

They’re still at it, still paving the same part of the highway as last night, and last week.

 moon behind the steeple.

My favorite photo of the night.

 midnight train to nowhere.

I will be back here in a few hours.

I took Billy out for frisbee. The sky was on fire.
June 18.

the clouds are on fire.

burning, burning.
