movie editing machine
This reminds me of when I was an editor of my college newspaper

the force, defeated by common window glass
We keep Yoda in a glass prison for our amusement

remember blade runner?
This would all be computer generated today

but it doesn't project the same image (get it?)
Don’t get me wrong, I like our new digital stuff

true tubes
But there’s something both elegant and real about these machines

as seen everywhere as the representative of old-timey teevees
A classic

this my friend, is a collection of serious shit
This stuff must have cost a fortune when it was new

this stuff, from way before my parents time, somehow reminds me of my own childhood
I don’t think I’ve shared this with any of my friends, let alone anyone else

i even had an 8mm projector
But I used to shoot movies as a child, and had a lot of photography equipment.

the colordaptor, noisy and dangerous!
This thing turned black and white TV into color TV somehow

old old skewl vinyl
The non-silent movie projector

70's technology!

dog sign language
This means, rub my belly.

not getting any better looking, is he?
The proprietor of this establishment, glimpsed.

the gym is paying off
Rumors of Junior always looking unhappy disproved

what light, through yonder roadway breaks?
The heterochromia of the illuminations

note to self: try this again
The backlight is helpful

le roi est mort
The King is dead.

vive le roi!
Long live the King!

kodak dc50
The royal dynasty started with this

Then after a long reign, this

sony dsc-s500
And after a long but spotty reign, this

sony dsc-n2
Following a very brief reign, this

canon eos rebel t3i
To now, four years later, this.

(All from Jan 9) Happy Fucking New Year.

too happy a new year's eve?
I should have photographed the ruts the vehicle made in the lawn.

the car is fucked
This had to cost someone a pretty penny.

eee ess bee
A brief stop for some laughs with the lovely Lindsay.

the boy on tv
Apparently the automated line has fancy video displays.
I’m sure the Windows2000 that runs the train appreciates the visual.
