(Jun 16) I have been busy. Busy is neither good nor bad, just busy.

the skeletal remains of signs
So many things nailed to this pole …. that absolutely no one cared about.

need to change the settings
This is not at all what I expected when I decided to shoot this scene

this is more like it
Because, it was dark outside

stairs noir
Now this, is what I was looking for

what was is gone
This view will never be the same

a hotel is coming
Not because of the demolition and coming construction

we miss you, howard
But because the man whose office this was for 30 years has died.

(Jun 2) I haven’t been in Blue Point in a very long time.

I had a flashback to high school and a kid named Tim I had a mainframe class with

(May 29) Attempts to return to Brooklyn continue to be frustrated.

(May 28) I’ve passed through Northport hundreds of times on the LIRR, but today was the first time I set foot on Northport soil.

woodbine marina
Northport Bay

does the rising tide really lift all boats?
It looks like any other Long Island marina

another victorian village
The village resembles Port Jefferson

the tracks don't lie
Except Northport apparently had a streetcar

the neighbors must love it (not)
And there in the middle of suburbia… a farm

perhaps used to make milk and cheese
With goats

everything loves chicken dinner
And chickens

(May 21) As soon as I saw Prime Ave, I knew I was back in the old hood. I lost my mainframe virginity in that neighborhood.

i've been here before, many times
I didn’t recognize the area, just the sign

fountains are all full of dirty water, did you know?
We used to come here to de-stress from writing code, at lunchtime

"the world's war"
Always interesting to note WWI plaques always assumed there’d only be one world war

quiet, tranquil
It’s like a little oasis

a nice place to eat a sandwich
It’s surprising how much I don’t remember about the place

they weep
But the willows, those I remember

aviation's public enemy number one
This place is geesey

robber barony
These Long Island stone bridges are of a certain era

soon to be targeted for extermination
These are apparently an invasive species

hecksher park
But now we’ve pretty much seen it all

dear park, have your people call my people and set that up
Time to go. Shall we do it again in another 25 years?

both buildings used to be painted robin's egg blue
And finally, we arrive at the place of my former employment. The data center was where “Elite Sports Performance” is now. You entered through the two-story building to the left.
