(May 31) Went back out to take in the event known as Manhattanhenge.
A small crowd gathered here at the bridge over 42nd St.
Back down at street level, slightly after the event
There’s a good view of the Chrysler Building here
And then it was over, until July.
(May 30) Scoping out a celestial event taking place on the 30th and the 31st.
The geese were on patrol, seeking their revenge on Capt. Sullenberger.
If I hadn’t missed it, I would have seen something here
(May 25) Continuing down Bond St. peeking in on the Gowanus Canal.
I was surprised to find this here.
(May 25) I was planning on going into Manhattan, but it was already getting dark, and I made the decision to photograph around the Gowanus Canal instead, and I saved $4 which I sadly need.
Seeing animals in Superfund waters frightens me.
I want to chase the duck out of that poisonous water
There’s a lot riding on him now
This always reminds me of Billy for some reason
I still don’t know what this place is
The early part of this jaunt covers material I’ve photographed before, and this is not the end. Yet.
I needed to try and come up with some ideas, so last week I went bridge-walking. I ended up walking off at the end of the bridge and all the way home. Only generated one interesting idea.
The journey this time, started on the Manhattan side.
I find the parts of the bridge over land are actually more interesting views.
The one thing you don’t get a good view of from the bridge, is the bridge.
I like how the light reflects off the water here.
The bridge portion of his trip “officially” ended not at the gift shop, but at (the outside of) Junior’s.
