(Jun 15) This photoblog now bids adieu to the Sony DSC-N2 I bought in a rush to replace the short-lived Sony whatever that came after the Sony Minidisc, which came after the Kodak somethingorother. My main concern when buying the N2 was that Billy was nearing the end of his days.
Also… I have the use of a car. Photographically, this sort of changes everything.
But first, from the phone one night.

Now that St. Vincent’s is closed, I wonder what happens to the monuments?

For some reason this shot makes me think of The Night Stalker.
(December 15) It was a very cold and windy day, but I decided to walk around a little and headed south from Penn Station on the west side. Eventually I had to head east so I could get to Madison Ave. in the Lennox Hill area. This was to be my only walk around the city during the holiday season.
The reindeer have gotten smaller in this recession.
I’ve been meaning to get photos of this station before.
It’s one of those curious PATH station entrances in the side of a building.
As I was walking uptown on 3rd Ave near 23rd St, I happened to look down and see this. The Web knows a thing or two about it. You can see the tree here.
I’m not feeling this like I used to, but I go because Pete wants to, and I need to escape every now and then.
I walk down here a lot, even when I don’t have a train to catch.
Among other things, I like to reassure myself I can escape suburbia.
