(Dec 22) I’ve been having health problems. As a result, December has gone by and nothing much has happened. December is usually slow, but the warm weather means things are actually still moving along around here.
I was in the city to attend a business party
Apparently someone in this neighborhood really loves weed.
I have a feeling nobody but me likes this one
I don’t remember Wall St. having a tree. Is that new?
(Dec 31) Closing out the year, Jesse Pinkman style. My dull December, in one go.
The local fire department gave us a show a few times.
’tis the season, and all that.
An artistic opportunity sprang from the darkness, yet to be mastered.
Romeo continued to spend time with me
(December 24) I need to try and remember, nothing around here is open late or at all on holidays. A three mile walk to the store for baking powder came up against an empty store. Fortunately I whipped up a substitute at home.
Since my last post here, I lost all my photos, except those on this site to a hard drive failure.
In December, I went into Manhattan with Pete and his cousin Maria, to see the store displays, and have dinner at Bice.
Then in January we went to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, followed by dinner at Novecento.
The most pretentious McDonald’s I’ve ever seen. The food is still McDonald’s.
Finally, in February I went to see Sleepwalkers.
Edit: I forgot about the McDonald’s downtown with the piano player, which I saw once back in the 80’s, so the jury’s still out on the most pretentious McDonald’s in the city, (or that I’ve ever seen).
The holidays are really starting to feel like a chore. I wish it weren’t so. I’ve come to understand I can change this, but that too, feels like a chore.
I decorated again this year. Or rather, I “decorated” in 2000 or so, and I haven’t un-decorated since.
Christmas morning, I turned on the fireplace. It’s so much easier than putting up a tree.
