(Jan 29) Living just around the corner from the old ‘hood, it seemed odd not to have returned, ubercamera in hand. I retraced some familiar steps, saw more things that are very different and haven’t changed.
But first, for most of you, if you look really closely…
This is what pseudoreal really looks like
This view, hasn’t changed a bit
I walked here with Billy countless times
The power plant hasn’t changed either
Before I moved into this neighborhood the first time, this was part of my rollerblading course
Now it’s just part of the past
(Jan 18) Somehow, between my last post and this one, I apparently took 100 photos I didn’t save. I’m quite sure I have no idea what that’s about. I revisited some familiar places.
The house where Billy chased his Kong
Things come and go, and and come and go again
The building in the foreground is new, it just doesn’t feel like change.
A former housemate puts the Will G. stickers up. He says it is to honor his son, which is of course a nonsense excuse for defacing things. But for those in the know, it expresses how much he misses his kid.
Go and Stop. A metaphor for my life.
(Sep 29) I went on a small tour of the past.
The willow has seen better days
To me, Billy’s field.
Some things however, are little changed.
(Sep 8 ) Ran back to Cordwood Landing Park one last time for twilight photos.
The water crashing onto the beach always reminds me of Billy now. It frightened him as a puppy.
Blurry ferns suggest it was breezy
I confused an earlier photo with this one. This is the one where you couldn’t see the people fishing.
(May 28) I replaced my old phone with the broken camera, with a “new” “old” phone with a not-broken camera.
When I uploaded this photo, I also got some remnants from the past from my SD card.
