After nearly two weeks of feeling like total crap, I decided to accept an invitation to go into the city yesterday. I’m glad I did. It was a springlike day. Pete paid for everything. YAY.
The holidays are really starting to feel like a chore. I wish it weren’t so. I’ve come to understand I can change this, but that too, feels like a chore.
I decorated again this year. Or rather, I “decorated” in 2000 or so, and I haven’t un-decorated since.
Christmas morning, I turned on the fireplace. It’s so much easier than putting up a tree.
I’m pretty sure no one ever comes here but me, and it takes enough effort to maintain this that I wonder why I do it. I really don’t know why I bother, but it’s got to be whatever impulse made me start doing it to begin with. Between the $10 to register the domain and the time put into futzing with the software, I’ve invested quite a bit of myself into something I can’t explain. Ditto for the whole camera-phone business.
To summarize this week,… It snowed.
And of course, Christmas started this year before Thanksgiving did.
Hey there. If I’m not full of shit, why is my hair brown?
Uhmmmmm….
Ohhhhhkay.
