(Jun 15) This photoblog now bids adieu to the Sony DSC-N2 I bought in a rush to replace the short-lived Sony whatever that came after the Sony Minidisc, which came after the Kodak somethingorother. My main concern when buying the N2 was that Billy was nearing the end of his days.

Also… I have the use of a car. Photographically, this sort of changes everything.

(Jun 15) Perhaps the last NYLUG meeting has been held. The High Line has been extended. There’s still bits of it lying around all over.

(Jun 15) 590 Madison Avenue was once IBM’s “World Headquarters”. Increasingly it appears I’ve made my last visit there. I wish I could have gotten better photos from there, the reflections in these are terrible.

(Jun 12) It’s called a Tulip Tree, and I’m told its wood is hard and straight. Probably used for ship’s masts.

Unfortunately I can take dozens of photos with this camera and still not be able to tell if they’re all blurry or not until it’s too late.

The next day, a storm obliterated the blooms.
