(August 16) haven’t been in DUMBO in any reasonable sense of the word since Manhunt in DUMBO back in 2005. It feels like much longer than three years ago. My intent was to take the subway to York St., and walk a couple of blocks over to see the Revs and Kaves mural. Unfortunately for me, the due to subway construction, I had to get off at Jay St. Fortunately for me, I happened to have my GPS receiver in my backpack. What followed was an unexpected trek through Downtown Brooklyn through to DUMBO.
Off to the F station at Carroll St.
Red disc thingy sculpture outside Polytech
I think this was outside the Engineering building at Polytech
What part of this very clear message don’t you get?
Back when I used to sell shampoo in the city during the mid 1990’s, you couldn’t turn your head without seeing the handiwork of Cost and Revs. After being arrested, Cost had had enough. Revs however, now creates metal sculpture works, which are cut off and sold into private collections. Bastards. On Saturday (August 16), I decided to make a trip to DUMBO…
“Death From Above” Wall by Revs and Kaves
How long before the sculpture is stolen? History says, probably not long.
First time I’ve ever seen a rat on the platform itself.
This probably leads to The Penguin’s lair.
The woman on the right stepped in front of everyone when the train stopped at Canal St.
She then stepped over a stroller with a baby in it and cut off an old woman trying to exit the train.
I nominate her for worst person in New York City.
