Continuing through Downtown Brooklyn through to DUMBO, I finally arrived in the area. Remembering it only as industrial, I was surprised at how much there was to see.

I took the photo because I liked the artwork on the restaurant.
When I got home, I realized that awful Nike sign

Back when I used to sell shampoo in the city during the mid 1990’s, you couldn’t turn your head without seeing the handiwork of Cost and Revs. After being arrested, Cost had had enough. Revs however, now creates metal sculpture works, which are cut off and sold into private collections. Bastards. On Saturday (August 16), I decided to make a trip to DUMBO

How long before the sculpture is stolen? History says, probably not long.

Since my last post here, I lost all my photos, except those on this site to a hard drive failure.

In December, I went into Manhattan with Pete and his cousin Maria, to see the store displays, and have dinner at Bice.

That’s a lot of candy.

Then in January we went to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, followed by dinner at Novecento.

The most pretentious McDonald’s I’ve ever seen. The food is still McDonald’s.

Finally, in February I went to see Sleepwalkers.

Edit: I forgot about the McDonald’s downtown with the piano player, which I saw once back in the 80’s, so the jury’s still out on the most pretentious McDonald’s in the city, (or that I’ve ever seen).
